Manage leads

Learn how to review, organize, and follow up on contact details collected in your dashboard.

Open Leads in the sidebar. This page shows contact requests and form submissions collected by your website widget. The grey badge next to the sidebar link is your unread count.

View a lead

Select View details on any row to open a lead. You will see:

  • Email and Phone
  • Message, the customer’s messages
  • Custom fields, any extra fields from your form
  • Submitted from, the page they were on when they got in touch
  • Note, your internal note

Submitted from is especially useful. A person who contacted you from your Wedding Cakes page likely wants something different from someone who contacted you from your homepage.

Manage leads

Each row includes a menu with these actions:

  • View details
  • Favorite, to flag leads worth following up on
  • Go to conversation, to open the full chat behind the lead
  • Add note or Edit note, for notes like “Called Tuesday, ring back Friday”
  • Archive, to remove it from your main list without deleting it
  • Delete, to permanently remove it
  • Edit lead, to update the Name, Email, Phone, or Note if a contact entered something incorrectly

Filter the list

Use the filters above the list to show:

  • Unread
  • Favorites
  • Archived

Select Clear to reset the filters. The count above the list updates to match the current filter.

A simple daily workflow

A good routine is:

  1. Filter to Unread.
  2. Review each lead.
  3. Archive it when you are done.

If Unread is empty, you are done for the day.

Bulk actions

Select multiple rows to open the bulk action bar. From there, you can:

  • Export
  • Archive
  • Delete
  • Cancel

Where leads come from

Leads come from two places:

  • Form submissions
  • Escalation follow ups, when the assistant collects someone’s details after handing the conversation over

Escalation leads use the form name “Escalation follow-up”.

Next step

If you want to work with leads outside the app, see Export leads.
