1. Add content to your knowledge base
Go to Knowledge Base and click Add source.
The quickest option is Your website:
- Select Entire website.
- Enter your website address.
- Click Scan and import website.
Respond Helper will follow your sitemap and internal links, and can import up to 1,000 pages from the same site.
You can also add information manually in:
- About your business for your business name, hours, description, and contact details
- Common questions for answers to the questions customers ask most often
For more help, see Import your website.
2. Test your AI agent
Open Test AI Responses and ask the kinds of questions your customers usually ask.
These test messages are private and never shown to customers.
If the AI gives an incomplete or incorrect answer, your knowledge base probably needs more information. Add the missing content, then test again.
3. Choose where your agent will go live
This usually takes about 2 minutes.
Open Channels and choose one or both:
- Website Widget, where you copy and paste a single line of code into your website. See Turn the widget on and copy your code.
- WhatsApp, where you connect your WhatsApp Business number. See Connect your WhatsApp Business number.
4. Pick a plan and go live
Go to Settings, then Billing, and choose a plan.
This is what makes your assistant visible to real customers. Until you’re on a paid plan, the widget will stay hidden on your public site, even if the code is already installed.
