What counts as a page

Your plan is measured in pages of content. Here is what a page actually is and how to stay inside your limit.

Your plan includes a number of pages of content. This is the total amount of text your assistant can learn from.

One page is about 500 words

We count the total text across everything in your knowledge base and divide it into pages of roughly 500 words each.

That means:

  • A short FAQ answer is a fraction of a page.
  • A typical web page about your services may one to two pages.
  • A ten page PDF menu might count as six or seven pages, because menus have less text per page

You can see how much space each source uses in the Pages column.

Your limit by plan

PlanPages of content
Free500
Starter1,000
Growth5,000
Scale10,000

This is your total storage limit (not monthly). If you delete a source, its pages are freed up immediately

What happens when you reach the limit

When you reach your limit, new sources stop importing. Everything already in your knowledge works as normal. You’ll see Limit reached in Settings, then Usage.

To make room, either:

  • Delete sources you don’t need, or
  • Upgrade your plan

How to use fewer pages

  • Import specific pages, not your whole site, if most of it isn’t useful
  • Remove duplicate content
  • Skip pages with little customer-facing information unless people actually ask about them
  • Keep your knowledge base tight and accurate—more content is not automatically better
