Two ways to get a conversation out of the app. Both start from Conversations.
Share a link
Open the conversation, select the kebab menu, and choose Share conversation. You can also find Copy link in the Details panel.
The link is copied to your clipboard with a confirmation: “Public link copied to clipboard. Anyone with this link can view the conversation.”
Whoever opens it sees a clean read only page: the customer’s name, whether it was Website chat or WhatsApp, when it started, and the full transcript. At the bottom it says “This is a read-only snapshot shared from Respond Helper.”
They do not need an account and they cannot reply or change anything.
What it is good for
- Showing a colleague what a customer asked without giving them an account
- Sending a supplier the exact specification a customer described
- Keeping a record alongside an order in another system
Export the chat history
Open the conversation and select Export chat history. The full transcript downloads as a file.
Use this when you need a permanent copy, for your records, an accountant, or a dispute, rather than a link that lives online.
Which to use
A share link is quick, stays current, and needs nothing installed. An export is a fixed copy you own and can file away.
If you are going to attach it to an email or store it in a folder, export. If you are sending it to someone to look at now, share.
